The Crosstown Showdown will be this Friday against the Rochester Falcons

The anticipation is slowly building. This Friday, February 3, the rivalry is renewed once again. The 11th Annual Crosstown Showdown will be held at the O’Rena at Oakland University. The Rochester Adams and Rochester girls will face off at 6 p.m. followed by the boys’ game tipping off at 8 p.m. Tickets are sold at the door for $5, or there are t-shirts being sold for $15 that include your ticket into the game. Both Coach Jeff Hall and Coach Todd Colville are selling shirts in rooms 229 and 139.

Both matchups will be dogfights; both teams want to come out on top and have 365 more days of bragging rights. This rivalry has been historically one-sided, as Adams has won almost all of the matchups played at the O’Rena. The varsity boys will be looking for their first victory on the season, and they hope that this game will result in a W.

“There is no other game that gets more exciting than this. All you have to say is ‘Crosstown Showdown’. The rivalry speaks for itself,” junior sharpshooter Jack Jenkins said.

Both the boys and girls are prepared to bring home a victory, so come out and show your school spirit for the Highlanders as they play in their biggest game of the regular season!
