With 30 kids on the team (not including the girls team), and only seven boys on Varsity, the Rochester Adams’s JV Ski Team was continuously victorious from race to race. The team’s entire season, however, was leading up to the divisionals race that took place at Pine Knob Ski Resort on February 3rd.

The boys came out of the meet with a victory and finished with six out of seven racers in the top ten. The team ended up being 13.5 points ahead of the second place team, Notre Dame Prep.

Junior Alex Snook was the top racer with a 2nd place medal. After the race, Snook stated that he had “two amazing runs, and I’m happy our team got to finish strong.”

Senior Gleb Goedtel was also satisfied with his last race, and he ended up in the 10th spot on the podium. Goedtel was content with saying goodbye to ski racing, and he stated, “Many things come to an end, but the memories last forever.”

The JV girls team ended up in 6th place overall, which was a success for them too because of the team’s low numbers in athletes. Their team only had five out of seven racers compete, and the best racer ended up in 16th place.

Although the JV season may be over, both Varsity boys and girls are racing in Regionals in hopes of placing in the top three teams to make it to States. The event will take place at Pine Knob and will be on Wednesday, February 12th.
