December 16th starts Rochester Adams’ holiday spirit week leading up to Christmas break. The week begins with “Winter Hat Day” on Monday, “Ski Day” on Tuesday, “Winter Wonderland (White Out) Day” on Wednesday, “Ugly Sweater Day” on Thursday, and “Holiday Pajama Day” on Friday.

Adams’ student council is in charge of the spirit days alongside Mr. Lindstrom, the teacher of the class. Student council members are excited to dress up with their classmates and finish out the year in good fun.

Student council president and senior Katie Crowe, stated that she was “way too excited to finish out 2019 with one last pajama day!”

Leading up to spirit week, students have been looking forward to the long awaited break and the added fun of dressing up for the holidays.

“I’m always excited to get in the holiday spirit the last week before break!” said senior Abby Guest.

The goal of the spirit week is to get students motivated to finish the 2019 year strong and return from break refreshed for midterm exams and second semester. Often, students check out and are unfocused the last week before break. Student council added this week of fun in hopes that this will help kids enjoy themselves before break.

The week concludes with a relaxing pajama day on Friday, December 20th, after an active and fun week of holiday spirit.
