The 2014-2015 Boys’ Basketball season is about to begin, and excitement and anticipation are in the air!

The team took a pretty hard hit this year, losing former senior Akhemji Williams, arguably one of the best players to go through the Adams basketball program. Despite the loss of last year’s seniors, Coach John Hall and the current team members still have high hopes for a successful season.

“Not having Akhemji this year is definitely a significant loss, but that being said, we have so many guys returning that played a lot last year. I expect this team to be more experienced than any team we have had in a while here,” said Hall.

The team will be competing in the OAA Red Division for the second year, and while the competition will be fierce, Hall believes their experience as a team will give them an edge. The players agree and also have big expectations for this season.

“I’m looking forward to playing Clarkston this year. We lost against them three times last year, but I feel like we can beat them this year, win districts, and go pretty far in playoffs,” said returning senior Jordan Wiley.
