Rochester Adams Boys and Girls ski team could bring a state title to the school for the first time in this decade. Coming off  a 2016 SEMSL first place victory and a state finals appearance, the ski team can make another deep run and possibly take home a trophy.

Senior captains Jonathan Stanton and Matthew Corsi, along with junior captain Amelia Buckmaster are a part of a strong returning lineup for the team.

Adams and Stoney are a combined ski team and they have started a tradition of excellence in the last few years. Senior Carter Heinzmann said that the universal goals for the team this year are, “state titles and more medals”.

“Quite the catchy slogan, but our big goals can be achieved if we come ready to work every day,” said Heinzmann. “Ski is such a great sport because the team is so big, and the opportunities are endless for us.”

Senior Captain Jonathan Stanton, brother of US Paralympic Skier Jamie Stanton, is also excited about the season.

“This is the most exciting ski season I have ever been a part of. I love our team and I will do anything for my teammates,” Stanton said.

When the ski team is in tip-top shape, the hype they create will be more than worthy of our attention. Stay Tuned for more from the Adams Ski Team.
